ABOUT THE IMAGE: This is an original production drawing of Tweety Bird crafted in the making of a public service announcement animation. Warner Brothers and Mel Blanc's company, Blanc Communications, made a 22-minute live-action/animation public service film for the Shriners Burn Institute. (It should be noted that Mel Blanc was a long-time Shriner.) The animated portion of the film featured Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Sylvester and Tweety Bird. The animated segments were shown as PSA spots on the Saturday morning "Bugs Bunny and Road Runner Show" on ABC. The full-figure image of Tweety measures 2.5" x 4.5", rendered in red colored pencil on animation paper. A fantastic piece of production artwork of the beloved bird from the Looney Tunes pantheon!
ABOUT THE MEDIUM: Original Production Drawings are one-of-a-kind pieces of art that were used in the creation of an animated film or television show. Each has been hand-drawn by studio artists!
