ABOUT THE IMAGE:  The Good Samaritan was an unreleased Pluto short, the plot elements of which were utilized in future shorts. The planned plot was for Pluto to rescue a baby puppy that wrecks the house of his  mistress. A short with this plot was also made for an episode of House of Mouse. The puppy, Ronnie, also appears in the shorts The Purloined Pup (1946) and Pueblo Pluto (1949)

The chart on bottom of the model sheet indicates that the director of this short would have been Clyde Geronimi. This piece shows signs of production wear: Creases on the top left and right.

ABOUT THE MEDIUM: A model sheet is a group of character drawings illustrating different poses and expressions of a cartoon character. Because a number of artists worked on a single cartoon, these sheets were circulated to the animators to give a uniform look and feel to a character throughout a production.
